TESL Canada Conference, Banff

I had a really great conference this time. I saw some great presentations. I went to one on language in the workplace, another on dictionary usage, and one on Web 2.0 in the classroom. My and Mary's presentation went really well also. We had over 65 people there. People were sitting on the floor, others had to leave when there was no more floor. And they seemed to like it. So, yay!

Friday was a beautiful day. It was wonderful being in Banff with the fresh mountain air. It was too bad that I had to wear nice clothes for my presentation and carry my heavy laptop all day. So, I didn't stray off my path. On Saturday, as you can see by the picture, the weather was not very good. It snowed, so no straying off my path again.

But, even though it was colder on

Saturday, we still took the opportunity to go for a walk along the river and look at the waterfall. It was very good for the soul.

I like your pictures.
I saw a beautiful tent in your pictures. Did they put you in that tent!? I think they put you there because you're an ESL instructor!!! lol

Wow! It's really a big crowd but it seems that you all did enjoyed the conference. I also love attending conferences because aside from meeting other people you also learn a lot about that topic.

I loved your pictures. Banff is really a good place to relax. I went there last summer with my family. We ride the gondola and we also visited Louise Park. We all have fun and as you've said it's really good for the soul.

Nice pictures. I would love to visit Banff too. How far is it from Edmonton ?
Is it more interesting to visit it in Winter or Summer ?

Hi Susan! I like all your posted pictures. You see I'm a nature lover and I dream someday me and my family can also go there in Banff.

You know what, being an English teacher, I like your teaching style. You really encourage each one of us to try our best to write and gently corrects us. And most of all, the oral discussion. Really, you're a GREAT TEACHER!
